Lindsay Ellen Rio is a Brooklyn-based writer, artist, and educator with deep roots in San Francisco, where she spent nearly a decade. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and BAs in Studio Art and Comparative Literature from Clark University. Her work intersects visual storytelling and language, exploring feelings of solitude in large forms and how loud or soft tiny hand-lettered words can be.

Moving words to work in new ways.
Using wood to preserve a feeling.
The questions that well up from quietness.
That shade of blue.
